We used to call those "snooze pods". When we had both dogs and cats, occasionally they would intermingle in pods, and then look around in embarrassment (particularly, of course, the cats), upon awakening, to find themselves cuddling "them!"
... the intermingled snooze pods were unintentional... it would start out with a cat in a sun spot on the floor. The sunspot would move and a dog would land in that. Then a cat would take the edge of the sun spot. Then the original cat would scoot over...

I think you may have too much peace and quiet on your hands. That is a funny picture tho.
