I just picked up the book Principles of Uncertainty by Maira Kalman (no, that's not a typo) from the library yesterday. It is wonderful. My new absolute favorite book of all time for the moment. Certain anonymous friends of mine would be wise not to get this book at this time. After all, Christmas is coming.
Here are the two sentences:
The point is, Rick's father, Hy Meyerowitz, a dry cleaning supply salesman from the Bronx, won the Charlie Chaplain Look Alike contest in 1931. That is a very big point in the plus column of life.
